We use high-temperature resins as the base for a variety of thermoplastic compounds because they offer better mechanical properties, wear resistance and chemical resistance than most other polymers. Although all polymers lose properties over time at elevated temperatures, high-temperature polymers have rigid polymer chains that allow them to operate at higher temperatures. Their strong chemical bonds also help them retain properties better at high temperatures, enabling higher continuous use temperatures.
- Improved performance above 150 °C/300 °F
- Retains physical properties
- Better dimensional stability
- Excellent electrical properties at elevated temperatures
